Richard O'Mealey Circa 1900

The old time pipers in Ireland played with zest, fervor, and impeccable technique. Daniel desires to follow in the footsteps of these great pipers, such as Leo Rowsome, Willie Clancy, Patsy Touhey, Seamus Ennis, Richard O'Mealey, and many others. When it comes to traditional Irish music, he wants to play it in an exclusively traditional way, but he also would like to continue playing other genres as well, which will not detract from his goal of playing like the pipers of old. In playing other genres besides traditional Irish, Daniel would be showcasing the versatility of the instrument. To sum it up in a sentence, he would like to master the pipes in whatever genre he takes on!
